PROFILE   Since 1984, Spiralumin S.A. has been the first company in Greece to construct and trade flexible ducts, starting with aluminium ducts for air-conditioning, ventilation and central heating installations. Up to that time, this type of duct was only partially known to very few technical companies.   Their excellent quality as well as their low price soon made the flexible aluminium ducts trusted by Greek professionals and Spiralumin S.A. managed to push itself to a leading position in sales, despite the efforts of antagonistic companies to enter the market by importing or constructing similar products. In order to cover the needs of the market, the company soon started the construction of stainless steel flexible ducts (INOX). Having expanded its activities not only in Greece, but also abroad, the need for new, more spacious factory facilities rose and so the company moved to its own new factory in 1992. Following the developments in the construction of flexible ducts in Europe and the United States, the company also went on to the construction of two new UL-listed products made of metalized polyester and aluminium polyester, using galvanized steel wire helix for higher flexibility and PET-polyester for higher durability. Thus, the company managed to cover the rising quality needs in air-conditioning and ventilation and replace other, more expencive materials (PVC or glass wool). Recently, two new types of ducts were added to the products of Spiralumin S.A.: Galvanized straight spiral pipes suitable for air-conditioning installations as well as for concrete columns castings and antimagnetic stainless steel pipes suitable for chimneys as well as for the extraction of chemical or toxic fumes. The company is always aiming at covering all new demands, combining the right quality-price relation with good service and large product stocks, keepIng up with developments in the field, enlarging the range of its products and thus being able to cover the needs of its customers.
